Monday, 10-3-5

I'm sitting here with a rare few moments of silence at work. I went from absolutely nothing to do, to a very full schedule, and I couldn't be much happier about it...
Spent Saturday down at Mom and Dad's trying to get a little "down-time". I guess it worked. I always feel a little better when I get to see them, it is becoming increasingly difficult to get time to make that run to their house, to anywhere actually. Saturday was also my brother Jeff's birthday. He's 26. It's the first time he's answered the phone in months (for me anyways). He says he may be home in time for Christmas. That's cool.
Right now I'm tracking 2 shipments with UPS, waiting very impatiently for them I might add. One is a secret. It's for something I need this week but I can't tell you any more about it or I'd have to kill you. ALL of you. That's right, the ENTIRE internet community (evil laugh) MuHahahaha. OK, just the 2 of you that actually read this. OK, maybe I wouldn't actually have to KILL you, maybe just accost you with a plastic knife. Hey, that could hurt. Yes it could! It would scrape you really badly. Or even bend enough and break. That might leave a sharp pointy bit and could possibly draw blood! Yeah, then it might get infected. Then I would feel bad about it but... You'd be sorry then wouldn't you!? That package should be in by tomorrow.
The other shipment I'm tracking is Teresa's iPod Nano. She finally relented and admitted that she would like to have one. She isn't the mass-music lover that I am but she does love to have her music around her a lot so, with a few trips coming up here soon, it made sense to get it now. It felt nice to not be in a rush. We went into the store last night and they didn't have a black one. That sales guy wasn't exactly excited about us being there either so we just left and ordered it on-line from Apple. It's nice to not need it RIGHT NOW!!!
Her only objection to getting an iPod was that she didn't want to pay so much for one, she didn't need 40G of music. So when the 2G Nanos came out, she fell in love with it.
Where hers doesn't have the capacity of mine, she has a few features I may be a little jealous over. It comes in black. My only option for a black iPod was to pay the price of a 40G to get a black 20G that I would immediately have to delete all the crappy U2 music off of and scrape the "special" signature inscriptions off the back. No thanks. They will inscribe her iPod with whatever we want. Hers is also solid-state. It stores it on flash memory, not a hard drive. It also has a color screen. Mine is B/W. I missed the release of the color screen/60G by less than a week. If I had only known, I would have waited...
So, that's how we've been going at it recently, spending money we don't have, as usual... I finally got the second video card in the computer and working so the cover is closed and my computer is now fully functional. Now all I have left is to get TIME to work on the damn thing. Every 5 minutes something new pops up and I can't get anything done. I can't concentrate because as soon as I do, knock-knock at the door... So, I haven't been able to write an update at home and FORGET about getting any of my writing done. But, at least I am able to update it now... So here we go, back on track and ready to run. For a while, then, I'll let it lapse again, right?

Wanna see all the stuff from the next few months?
